Unlimited Internet Access : The End of the French Model ? - Forbes: Once upon a time the little kingdom of France, which had a very low number of digital users, was a pioneer in the digital economy by inventing “triple play” service: unlimited access to internet + TV + phone, all within a simple “box,” providing the lowest-cost rate in the world at around $40 a month. At the time, giving users unlimited access for a fixed price was considered visionary. We could easily predict that this subscription rate would soon be adapted for mobile service as well.
